Located in the Swan Lake Day Use Area near Estherville, this access point provides launch opportunities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. To reach the site from Hwy 83, turn west near mile marker 72, just north of town. A companion campground is located across the street on the east side of the highway.
**Launch Tips for Paddlers:** The main boat ramp is primarily used by powerboaters. Kayakers and canoeists are advised to launch along the eastern shore to avoid conflicts with motorboat traffic. If you prefer a quieter, less-developed launch area, an alternate public access point is located one block west at the end of Blank Road, which offers unimproved access to the water. This may be a better option for those seeking a more peaceful paddling experience away from the main ramp activity.
