White Lake

White Lake Park and Marina provides convenient public boat access in Montague through a municipal launch facility located south of the traffic light on Water Street, past the marina and Band Shell. The hard-surface ramp features three docks with six launch slips, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. This is an excellent jumping-off point for exploring White Lake and accessing the deep channel that connects to Lake Michigan.

The surrounding park setting enhances the experience, with amenities including a pavilion, gazebo, accessible play area, and a recreational bike trail nearby. The location also provides easy pedestrian access to local shops, restaurants, and seasonal entertainment. Note that camping and dockage services at the marina operate seasonally from May 1 through October 1.
