About This Access Site
White Oak Creek Marina, located in Higginsport near the White Oak Creek Bridge in Brown County, offers boat access to Big Run-Whiteoak Creek and connects to the Ohio River's Meldahl Pool—a 95-mile navigational pool created by the Captain Anthony Meldahl Locks & Dam. The facility features a three-lane boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats, along with 75 boat slips and dry-dock storage for vessels. The marina has been operating since 1960 and serves as a full-service facility with amenities for day-use boaters and overnight campers.

This is a good launch point for exploring the Meldahl Pool section of the Ohio River as well as paddling upstream into the creek system. The marina's multiple ramp lanes make it convenient for launching during busy periods. Nearby, William H. Harsha Lake on the East Fork of the Little Miami River offers additional paddling opportunities in the region. The site is easily accessible from U.S. Highway 17, located just north of the White Oak Creek Bridge.
