Located in Dallas on White Rock Lake, this boat ramp provides convenient access to a 1,088-acre impoundment on White Rock Creek, a Trinity River tributary. The ramp features a two-lane launch suitable for all boat types, with a parking area available. The lake has a maximum depth of 20 feet, making it suitable for various watercraft including kayaks and canoes. Note that the park operates under a midnight to 5 a.m. curfew.
To reach the ramp from I-30, head north on East Grand Avenue, turn left onto Winsted Drive, right on White Rock Road, and left onto West Lawther Drive—the park and ramp entrance will be on your right, opposite Fisher Road. For paddlers specifically, the most accessible launch sites for kayaks and canoes are at the mouth of White Rock Lake at the Mockingbird Lane bridge and 5 miles upstream at Moss Park/Greenville Avenue, where motivated paddlers can navigate around normal creek obstructions.
