About This Access Site
Wildcat Lake is a 293-acre lake in Vilas County offering public boat access via a maintained ramp suitable for small to medium-sized boats. The ramp is approximately 16 feet wide with a moderate slope and is open year-round, maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. With a maximum depth of 38 feet, the lake supports a healthy fishery including musky, panfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and walleye—making it an excellent destination for anglers as well as recreational paddlers and boaters.

To reach the access site from Seabeck, follow Seabeck-Holly Road southwest for 3.7 miles, then turn left on Holly Road for 4.7 miles. Continue left on Lakeview Avenue for 0.3 miles, then turn left at the public fishing sign onto Lakeview NW Court and proceed approximately 300 feet to the access point on the left. Two reservable campgrounds—Pomeroy Lake Camp and Moosehead Lake Camp—are located within 10 miles, providing convenient overnight options for extended trips.
