Wildcat Shoals is a public boat ramp and access site located on the White River in Flippin, Arkansas. The White River is a major Ozark headwater stream, measuring over 1,000 miles in length with an average flow of nearly 35,000 cubic feet per second.
This access point is part of the Bull Shoals Lake recreation area managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The ramp and bank-fishing access make Wildcat Shoals a popular spot for both boaters and anglers. While some access points along the White River are only accessible by boat, this site provides a convenient launch for kayaks, canoes, and small motorized watercraft.
The area has been identified for improvements, including raising the elevation of the access and constructing a new boat ramp to make launching easier. These planned upgrades will enhance the experience for paddlers, anglers, and other recreational users of the White River at this location.
