Wildwood Park provides a convenient boat ramp and access point to the expansive Clarks Hill Lake and Keg Creek in Columbia County, Georgia. This 75-acre recreation area is part of the larger J. Strom Thurmond Lake, which covers 72,000 acres and 1,200 miles of shoreline, making it one of the largest Army Corps of Engineers lakes east of the Mississippi River.
The boat ramp at Wildwood Park offers a well-maintained launch site for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats to access the calm, navigable waters of Keg Creek and the broader Clarks Hill Lake. The park is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and other water-based recreation on this scenic reservoir. Visitors should note that while the boat ramp is open to the public, there is a $3 per vehicle entry fee to access the Wildwood Park grounds.
