About This Access Site
The Willow River access site near Tripoli provides a concrete boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats. The ramp is approximately 16 feet wide with adequate space for vehicle parking and boat preparation. This access point serves as a gateway to the Little Falls Flowage area, making it a convenient launching spot for exploring this portion of the Willow River system in Oneida County.

Paddlers should note that the Willow River in this area features a mix of wider, flatwater sections and narrower passages with scattered deadfall obstacles that require careful navigation. The river widens considerably downstream of the access point, though some sections may have limited tree cover. This makes the site suitable for both beginner and intermediate paddlers, though expect to navigate around occasional obstructions. Several other smaller access points are available along nearby roads (Willow Dam Road, Running Bear Lane, Swamp Lake Road, and others) if you're planning a longer paddle or shuttle trip.
