Willow Valley

**Location & Setup:** Willow Valley provides access to the East Branch Lost River and Willow Valley Reservoir in Oregon's Langell Valley. The site features a gravel boat ramp suitable for launching car-top boats, canoes, kayaks, and float tubes. The ramp is most reliable during periods of high water; launching trailered boats can be challenging when water levels drop in summer months.

**Best For:** This access point is ideal for paddlers with smaller, easily-portable watercraft. Canoeists and kayakers will find it particularly accommodating. The site offers primitive camping for tents and small RVs (bring your own water and firewood), making it convenient for extended outings. The reservoir near the dam offers good paddling with submerged vegetation and willows providing scenic routes and fishing opportunities.

**Planning Tips:** Check water levels before visiting, as low summer conditions may limit ramp usability for larger boats. This is a good base for exploring the East Branch Lost River system and nearby Gerber Reservoir, located about 14 miles east near Bonanza. Plan to be self-sufficient with supplies, as facilities are minimal at this primitive site.
