Wilson Park offers a convenient public boat launch for paddlers and boaters accessing Wickford Harbor in North Kingstown. The gravel ramp is located at the end of Pleasant Street on the south side of the harbor and provides ample free trailer parking. The site accommodates kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and larger boats, making it suitable for various water sports. The park area offers good parking close to the launch point.
The ramp provides access to Wickford Harbor and Wickford Cove, a tidal cove accessible by paddling under a distinctive steel arched bridge. The harbor connects to the broader Narragansett Bay estuary system, offering paddlers opportunities to explore scenic waterfront areas with restaurants and amenities along the Post Road. The site is conveniently located near Route 1; heading south on Route 1 toward Wickford, you'll pass the Rhode Island State Police Barracks on your right before reaching the access point.
