Lake Wallenpaupack is a popular multi-use reservoir with specific speed regulations to be aware of: no horsepower limit applies, but boaters are restricted to 45 mph during daylight hours on weekends and holidays (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day), and 25 mph after sunset year-round. Paddlers should note the nearby Prompton Lake offers an alternative if a quieter setting is preferred. For additional services like fuel and supplies, the Caffrey Recreation Area on the western shore has a gas dock and camp store.
