About This Access Site
Woods Bay is a day-use public fishing access site located just south of Bigfork on Flathead Lake's northern shore. The site features a concrete boat ramp and dock, making it an excellent launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats exploring Montana's largest freshwater lake. To reach Woods Bay, turn west off Montana Highway 35 at mile marker 27. The facility includes public restrooms and trailer access (note maximum trailer length restrictions apply).

As a gateway to Flathead Lake, Woods Bay offers paddlers access to a large, scenic water body ideal for various water sports including kayaking, canoeing, sailing, swimming, and windsurfing.
