About This Access Site
Yellow Creek Boat Ramp provides access to Sandy Creek and Pickwick Lake in Counce, Tennessee. This launch site is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats.

The boat ramp is located off Highway 57 South near the Mississippi state line. The access area features a paved ramp and a small gravel parking lot. Water depths are generally suitable for launching small, trailered watercraft, though users should exercise caution during periods of low water. Sandy Creek flows into the much larger Pickwick Lake, offering paddlers the opportunity to explore both the intimate creek environment and the open waters of the lake.

Pickwick Lake is a broad, meandering reservoir on the Tennessee River with over 490 miles of shoreline. The lake is popular with anglers targeting largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish. Paddlers can find a mix of sheltered coves, rocky bluffs, and gentle currents depending on their route. The nearby Shiloh National Military Park also provides opportunities for hiking, history, and wildlife viewing.
