About This Access Site
Yellow Creek State Park offers a well-maintained concrete boat ramp (20 feet wide) providing access to Yellow Creek Lake, a 720-acre reservoir in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. The ramp is ADA accessible and located at Penn Run on the lake's north shore, with additional launch points available at the south shore, beach/day-use area, and Grampa's Cove. This makes Yellow Creek an excellent option for kayakers and canoeists seeking multiple access points for exploration.

The lake welcomes all non-motorized watercraft, including kayaks and canoes, as well as motorized boats up to 20 horsepower. The 720-acre lake provides plenty of open water for paddling, and the surrounding park offers scenic views along with hiking and mountain biking trails on both shores. Fishing is also popular here, with stocked trout in the Yellow Creek and Little Yellow Creek tributaries. Plan to arrive early during peak season, as the multiple ramps tend to draw crowds.
