Yellow Jacket

The Yellow Jacket boat ramp provides easy access to Yellowjacket Creek and West Point Lake near LaGrange, Georgia. This is a popular spot for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats onto the lake.

The boat ramp is located within the Yellowjacket Creek Recreation Area, which offers a designated swim beach in addition to the launching facilities. The recreation area is open year-round, though the swim beach is only operational from May through Labor Day. Paddlers and boaters can enjoy the peaceful waters of Yellowjacket Creek, as well as the expansive 40-square mile West Point Lake, which is known for its excellent fishing opportunities.

The boat ramp and recreation area can be accessed by taking Georgia Highway 109 west of LaGrange, turning right on Whitaker Road, and then left on Cameron Mill Road. Parking is available on-site.
