York Furnace is a boat ramp and access point located in Airville where Furnace Road meets Indian Steps Road along the Susquehanna River in southern York County. This site serves as part of the 53-mile Susquehanna River Water Trail – Lower Section, managed by Susquehanna Heritage. The access area includes an interpretive panel highlighting the river's history and physical characteristics, making it a good spot to learn about the region's heritage while accessing the water.
The ramp has a slightly steep entrance, and Furnace Road's winding approach should be noted when planning vehicle access.
