Running it at low-ish water (2000-2500 cfs), Hole in the Wall is a straightforward and fun flume. The rapid starts maybe 100 yards above the cleft in the rocks that give the rapid its name, and at lower water, you may have to negociate a couple rocks to get into an optimal position for the really fun part through the chasm. You won't have much choice but to run that part river center, but even if you get closer to the steep rock walls on either side, it tends to pillow you back into the center. Just point it straight and enjoy the ride! I might rate this more of a Class 3+ because of all the splashing and rowdy water (probably not a ton of fun to swim), but it's not a particularly technical rapid.
