Starting at the Standing Indian Campground you'll paddle through some low hanging Laurel. This is what the majority of the run is like. After about a mile and half you come to a MANDATORY PORTAGE around a fish barrier built by the National Forest. Directly below the strainer there is a pretty cool slide of maybe 15ft.
Below you'll pass the Rainbow Springs Campground on your right. Then you'll float under some rather large No Tresspassing signs. Try to stay in your boat from here until the bridge on US 64. Take-out under the bridge and quickly load your boats and get away from the river. I've heard about locals not being to friendly to users of 'their' river. Guardrails have been put in place to prohibit river access and parking.
For the lack of gradient and the risk of being arrested, I wouldn't recommend this run to anyone. There is a lot of slack water that takes time to pick through. There is one drop at the end of the run that is pretty cool. The river has been constricted and there is a sort of pour over.
