Description
Chill but fun float through Canon City with two play feautues at the top, a possible third feature below the train station at the right flows. Commonly tubed in the summer time by locals. Abundant signs point to a a dam in the lower section of the run. This is a diversion dam/weir made of rocks, and is commonly passed through a boat chute on the left. It is not noteworthy to experience boaters at most flows. Additional signage for 'last legal access' at the McKenzie Bridge take out refers to a seperate dam just upstream of Florence, in the next section downstream. This is discussed more in that entry.
