Description
Lat / Longitude data are approximate, from TopoZone. The first couple of miles are on Quakake Creek; the rest is on Black. It is believed that the Tunkhannock is a better comparable to this creek than the Lehigh below Francis Walter Dam, because the Tunkhannock, like this creek, is not affected by releases from the Dam.  The Lehigh below Francis Walter Dam is included on the 'Flow' link as a backup gage for comparison and because there's not good road access to Penn Haven Junction so you will likely have to run some part of the Lehigh - maybe down to Glen Onoko.   So check Lehigh levels as well.  A detailed description of this stream can be found in the 'Lehigh River Paddling Guide,' which can be purchased online at http://www.ggentile.com/nonfiction\_books.html. Scroll down to the appropriate title. There are two Black Creeks in the Hazelton/Weatherly area:  this is the one that drains to the Lehigh River.
