Description
This reach is better known for its fishing and jetboating than whitewater recreation but you can run all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The Copper Canyon section is beautiful. Roads parallel the river offering several different access points.
Looking at the topo maps, you'll find a plethora of named features, almost all of which are simply 'riffles' -- gravel bars and shoals. While this reach is certainly scenic, passing through some fine canyon areas, at only 5 fpm gradient, the whitewater will most certainly be found awfully tame compared to other sections of this river.
