Description

Put-in likely requires permission from private property. Absent being able to secure that, it may be possible to park and carry up from Heritage Drive (or skip the upper gradient and just put in at Heritage). Take-out is at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum. Again, if use of this site for patking and take-out is disputed, it may be necessary to continue another 1/3-mile of flatwater downriver to Forge Road (at the Negaunee Cemetery). This stretch includes a couple good areas of gradient, including "Upper Carp River Falls".
