A) Shanagolden to Stockfarm Br. (FR164) (11.6 miles)

Older canoe/river guidebooks listed a segment starting in/near Glidden, using access either at Highway 13 bridge or public landing on Fishback Road. Frankly, this nearly doubles the trip, and (best we can tell from satellite views) does not appear to add any meaningful whitewater. We have therefore recommended an alternate put-in at Shanagolden. Rapids include: _Swann & McKain Rapids_ (II), _unnamed half-mile, below Shanagolden Bridge_ (II), _Cedar Rapids_ (II). Take-out is at Campgrounds at Stockfarm Bridge.
