Description
Graves Creek is one of the most full-on challenging Class V+ whitewater runs in Montana.  It has also been described as one of the best.  Graves offers a tight series of powerful bedrock waterfalls and slides in a steep and remote valley lined with dense and hobbling alders.  Upper Graves, above Hankerchief Lake is the more typical and _relatively_ user-friendly section.  Below the lake is a significant step up. Access is by hiking with your boat.
