A 'park-and-huck' opportunity in a park, where this tributary (Berry Bridge Creek) drops into the Niobrara River. A clean approach and a landing in a larger river make this a fairly straight-forward drop for those inclined to get a little 'air time'. As always on dropping anything 'vertical', know your landing zone, and be aware of waterfall techniques to prevent (or minimize the risk or liklihood of) injury or damage to self or boat.
Take Rt. 12 east from Valentine (from where Rt. 83 turns off north) for 13.1 miles to the road just in front of the 13 mile mark (there is a white school with playground on the SW corner). Turn right (south) on the road to Berry Bridge and continue 2.8 miles to a parking place along the right of the road just in front of the bridge (the Berry Bridge Concession and Camp is to the right; the falls are across the river to the left).
