Description
This section looks promising from Google Earth. Appears to be continuous Class 3-4 with one significant waterfall. Reached by driving dirt roads from Eagle Bay which is north of Old Forge. A typical car should able to make the drive if the roads are dry. Bring a truck and tow strap if the weather is questionable and road is muddy. Presently there is an access issue. We were unable to cross the tiny section of ALC land to reach the river via the DEC logging road. To run this section you would have to hike in to the Moose from the ALC gate, paddle upstream to the confluence then start hiking.  Likely this will remain un-run until there is better access.
