Description
Fun snow melt class 4/5 section runnable May- July depending on snowpack and temperature. Check the Bacon River Gauge for river level correlation, Bacon River Gauge. Look for flows 500- 1300 cfs on the Bacon, where 800- 900cfs is likely a friendly medium flow. The waterfall in the middle of the section is about 60 ft tall and has been run once at minimal flows. Put-in also updated. Stetattle creek trail ends shortly after this putin option. One could go beyond this putin option there is significant blowdown within the unmaintained portion of the trail and the hike down to the river making this new putin the superior option. Basically hike roughly 2 or so miles and once the trail starts to go further from the river, begin your hike down and putin at Camp Dayo Creek confluence       -Michael Jonsson, 2022 See John Whaley's description of this spring hike-in trip in Bennett. There is a mandatory portage past a 100' falls. Lat/Long approximate.
