This is the last run in North West Georgia. Any further west and you are in Alabama, any further north and you are in Tennessee. According to Will Reeves its a class 3-4 run.

We started in a 6 foot wide drainage ditch off of Casey Road. From there the creek meanders around on the plateau for awhile, pick up a few side tribs, and goes thru way too many overhanging branchs.
Eventually the volume picks up and you come to the first class 4 series of drops. The creek will drop over a series of about 6 back to back ledges of up to about 9 feet tall. You could proabably catch all the eddies between the ledges, but it was more fun to blow over all of them at high speed.
By this point on the run we were very concerned about wood in the creek. Before the day was over we probably carried over 10 to 15 riverwide trees. Lots of the strainers were hidden around blind bends.
Further down the creek were a 10 foot vertical ledge, and an 8 foot vertical ledge. The gradient on the creek was fairly consistent. Most of the run is boat scoutable. The run feels very similar to the Piney in Spring City, TN.
About 4 miles from the end of the run Warren Creek enters on river left and doubles the flow of the run. From that confluence down the creek gets a big water feel. Three foot tall waves thru the forests from there on down to the takeout.
For the takeout I recommend driving up Nickajack Road over the bridge and continuing on when the road turns to dirt. Eventually the road will come to a widespot right beside the river. This appeared to be the best takeout.
