Spring runoff opens up this section of the Big Wood and offers scenic views, a few eddy access surf waves, and enough fun whitewater to make the run entertaining. As of June 2022, this section has been clear of river wide strainers, but, stay on alert and keep in mind that the banks are lined with strainer hazards.
