Whitewater timing varies with scouting, portages, and group pace. Use as a planning baseline.
Description
Mostly flatwater, punctuated by a couple short drops. Generally more likely an open-boat trip. Trip may be shortened using alternate accesses.
(Note: Observations and 'minimums' based on only one trip on this reach, when Neillsville gauge was at 946 cfs. That seemed a fairly low level. The flat stretches were generally quite slow, and the couple of drops were runnable but not particularly interesting. Do this one only if you're looking to tally another river in your boater log book, or to see every bit of known whitewater in the state. If you're looking for anything like real river-running or playboating whitewater, better to look elsewhere.)
