Description
Updated Sept 2024
Class V all around, you can really get in some trouble if you swim. Steep technical drops, seives, and mucho trees. It took us 4 hours to go 1/2 mile.
Bring pulleys so you can pull your boats up as you scale the steep terrain on both sides of the creek to get out if you need to. Fish creek trail is on river right.
Dont let the nay sayers say that this creek aint saying. Its super fun if you approach with the right attitude. Bring a serious level of respect when you drop in.
Original info by the OG crew:
Challenging and difficult low volume creek run. All drops can be carried, though portages are steep. Only one, about halfway down can't be fully scouted. You can see the entry, and then the exit, but not the middle. 2 years ago there were 2 logs in middle, but they were easily negotiated. Rescue from this drop would be very difficult. The final drop, BFG, is just plain fun with low or no consequences. The drops above BFG: Joel's, Cedar's, Ray's, Trashy corner, Double Drop, The BeeHive should be scouted and approached with due diligence, but at medium levels most rescues can be direct assist. Expect about 6 hours if you are scouting and moving at a relaxed pace 2 to 3 hours if you know the run and are zipping through.
