Description
A popular run for locals and tourists alike, the "town stretch" starts at the boundary of Yellowstone National Park with Class III rapids for the first few miles then mellows into a Class II scenic float for the last five miles. The McConnell river access point (US Forest Service) is a good half-way point if you wish to shorten your trip and/or start your float below the Class III rapids.
