This 13.3-mile stretch of Burro Creek features a mix of Class III-IV rapids set against a stunning desert canyon backdrop. The run starts near Highway 93 and flows past Burro Creek Campground, offering challenging boulder gardens, tight canyon walls, and sections of flatwater for recovery. The gradient of 30 feet per mile ensures a dynamic ride, with ideal flows ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 cfs. At lower flows (300–400 cfs), expect more technical navigation and potential scraping. Access at both ends is straightforward, with Signal Road marking the takeout. Due to the creek’s intermittent flow and the potential for flash flooding, timing is critical for this run.
