Description

Pretty decent 'bang for the buck', with a 2.8 mile shuttle yielding about 7.8 miles of paddling (~4.3 miles on Hanging Fork Creek, and ~3.5 miles on Dix River). Put-in elevation is ~810'. Take-out elevation is ~755'. Thus, total drop is ~55'. A former USGS sampling site at our put-in location lists drainage area of 91.1 square miles.
