Description
We apologize we have but sketchy information about this run. The listed put-in and take-out (lat/lng coordinates) are NOT likely correct. We do not know what the best access points are, what the situation is for parking vehicles, and what any other logistics of doing this run might be, other than:
"This is a fast run and hard to catch. Expect lots of strainers, and virtually no eddies in the upper half! A major drop (similar to one on Fox Creek) exists at a driveway crossing. Scout ahead of time, as you can not stop when you come up to it."
This is one of a half-dozen in-town 'micro creeks' which (reportedly) can be fun during (or immediately after) good rains. Smaller creeks such as this have their own set of dangers. Any downed tree can block the entire stream. Rapids may not inherently exceed class II in difficulty (other than in extreme conditions, where they may become class III). However, SOLID class III (or better!) skills are strongly suggested, to be able to read and react to conditions. You need to look ahead to anticipate hazards, quickly make smart decisions, be able to control your craft, be able to backpaddle, catch eddies, and confidently maneuver in strong steady current.
We would appreciate any additional specific information about rapids and any 'permanent' structures (rocks, ledges, bridges, culverts, etc) which may create either fun features or hazards in this stream.
