Description
Running through Woodford Co. near Frankfort, Glenns Creek is a playboater’s wonderland at good water levels. Several perfectly formed class III surf hydraulics are intersperced among numerous class II drops. Strainers are often a randomly occuring problem and boaters should be alert for a possible portage around farm fences. Paddler’s generally look to Glenn’s first after a soaking rain and when the Elkhorn is too high.
Put in: Bridge on McCraken Pike (aka: KY1659) Parking in the grass is currently tolerated on the east side of the road, not the west side. Be respectful.
