Description
Lat/longitude coords at the putin are a SWAG. Moheinous wrote, on Boater Talk (8/13/01), "I'm sure someone's been there before , but with all the rain i decided to go have a look at Spivey Creek TN today. The Nolichucky at 16,000 should clue people into possiblities in the watershed. In just the few roadside stops i saw numerous ten foot drops, a clean thirty footer, and a potentially runnable fifty footer. I uuess this one is the Spivey Falls listed on maps of the area. Probably the creek was too high for most of the day, i saw it after 5 PM today and it looked to be a perfect level. There were many more drops and gradient that i couldn't see. The few i did look at were serious video quality big ones similar to N. Fork Catawba." Looks like this suckah drops at at least 300 ft/mile in that short stretch. Careful, boyz'n'gurls!
