Description
Opportunities for an adventure exploring the Baker River, but it requires navigating your way beyond the trail to make your way up the river. This is a potential packrafting adventure. Logistics From Highway 20 mile 82.3 turn north on Baker Lake Road which follows the shoreline of the PSE reservoirs to the river upstream. The road ends where the river succumbs to the flatwater of the reservoirs at Baker Lake Trail No. 610 (Northwest Forest Pass required). From this point you can hike 2.7 miles upstream first through the National Forest and then into North Cascades National Park where the trail ends at Sulphide Creek. From this point on it is a backcountry adventure to continue up the Baker River.
