Description
Generally speaking this is a relatively easy beginner creek to paddle. It is very flashy. After a good rain it tends to go up very quickly and go down very quickly. However, when it is up there are a variety of small waves to surf as well as a number of eddy lines to play in. The senery is quite good as wll. However, be on the lookout for fisherman (which should not really be a problem at the runnable levels as well as strainers. The river does not have any real tight bends in it so you should be able to keep an eye out for any potential concerns. About three miles down you will come to a series of two low head dams. The first can be portaged either side but may be able to be run if the water is high enough because it gets washed out. However, the second one has a walk bridge across it and should be portaged on either side. This is private land at a camp so be careful to respect the owners. There may be difficulty getting on the river at the putin as there is very little parking. However, just check out the bridges down stream and you should have no problem. I will update this as soon as I can get other putins identified.
