Description

See North Tyger from Route 231 to Route 113 for a description of this reach. The run from the North Tyger to the intersection with the South Tyger is included in this description. There is no access at the intersection of the two rivers. The nearest take-out is Walnut Grove Road which is described in the Route 231 to Route 113 description. There are very visible and unfriendly no trespassing signs. I have not ever put-in or taken-out here because to do so will cause you to miss a lot of the whitewater. There appears to be access at the bridge, but I do not its ownership status. You may also want to check the Palmetto Paddlers and their Scheduled Trips to see if anything is planned. There are additional photos of the North Tyger in the Palmetto Paddlers photo album at Carolina Paddlers Assembly.
