Description
This rapid runs at every level except for flood stage. It used to be a old mill, but they tore it down. It has no real surfing waves in it. You put in about 150 feet down stream and paddle up to it. There is a public access right down stream. They allow fires in the day time, but you can not have one at night. When the water is really shallow, there will be sand bars that you have to either paddle through or just get out and walk. It is easier to walk. If you are looking for something big, this isn't the place for you.
For what it's worth, (reportedly, according to Wikipedia) Spencerville is an unincorporated village whose claim to fame is being home of the only covered bridge in DeKalb County, Indiana.
