Description
This is one of a half-dozen in-town 'micro creeks' which (reportedly) can be fun during (or immediately after) good rains. While the gradient may not be all that significant, be aware that running smaller creeks such as this has it own set of dangers. Any downed tree can block the entire stream. Rapids may not inherently exceed class II in difficulty (other than in extreme conditions, where they _may_ become _marginally_ class III). However, SOLID class III skills are strongly suggested, to be able to read and react to conditions. You need to be able to control your craft, to be able to backpaddle, to catch eddies, and confidently maneuver in current. We would appreciate any additional specific information about rapids and any 'permanent' structures (rocks, ledges, bridges, culverts, etc) which may create either fun features or hazards in this stream. If you have run this, please help out your fellow boaters by adding your input via the 'comments'. If you have additions or corrections to any information presented here (put-in, take-out, rating, means of gauging, etc), please provide that as well.
