(St. Francis tributary) _A Canoeing & Kayaking Guide to the Ozarks_ (formerly _Ozark Whitewater_) by Tom Kennon (3rd edition, Menasha Ridge Press) has a good description of the run. MoCreekin’ has some good info about this and other creek runs in Missouri. History: Turkey Creek was first run on Friday, 24 December 1982, by Herm Smith, Kevin Olson, Janet Burnside, and Paul Kreuet. An account of the run, written by Olson & Smith, appeared in the May 1983 issue of the _River Log_, newsletter of the Arnold Whitewater Association.
