Description
Glacier Creek offers a short and easily accessible little creek run in the Swan Valley. Trips center around the popular trailhead that leads hikers up to Glacier Lake, Turquoise Lake, and the high country of the Mission Mountains. From the trail head scout as you hike up 3/4 of a mile or so and put on for a handful of 6-10 foot class III and IV slides and falls. The final drop, just above the trailhead, is a scenic vertical falls. There is some rowdy looking whitewater below the trailhead, some woody class III closer to the swan, and there has been at least one mission to the upper reaches of Glacier. Bring your bear spray.
