Description
Flows:  Go to this site map and select the Eagle Creek near New Bridge, OR gauge to find flows. 1,000-1500 cfs is medium, it is still worth doing a few hundred cfs higher or lower. Stream:  A nice run on the south side of the Wallowa's accessed by quality gravel roads. There is quite a lot of nice class III and some IV, especially when flows are up.  There is one class V rapid at a point where the creek bends left, then back to the right. The boulders here are larger than seen elsewhere on the creek.  It can be scouted and portaged along a trail on the left. More class III and some IV continues downstream to Skull Creek.  There is an early take out option at Little Eagle Creek confluence, at a campground that reduces the run to 6 miles. Be mindful of wood, some years the run is totally free of issues, other years it is not. Trip Reports Into the Outside:              1600-1700 cfs Whitewater Guidebook:    900-1,000 cfs
