Description

 It is named after Frank Amerson who was in charge of the Macon Water Authority. The water works was flooded in the flood of 1994 and was subsequently relocated on the Town Creek Reservoir.

 

Take out point is the Jay Hall Memorial Canoe Launch. There is a small dirt lot at the access point, which fills up with fast during the summer. Park gates close at 8 PM so make sure to plan accordingly.
