Certain Death

Certain Death is an extremely hazardous Class V portage rapid characterized by severe undercut rock walls and a dangerously constricted channel. The rapid presents multiple life-threatening hazards, including potential pins, entrapment, and limited escape routes, making a scout and potential portage mandatory for all but the most skilled and experienced whitewater kayakers. Paddlers must carefully evaluate the rapid's complex hydraulics and extreme terrain before attempting any line or rescue strategy.
