Description
Hobo Rapid presents a technical Class III challenge with a constricted entry that funnels water through a series of diagonal waves and exposed rocks. Paddlers must navigate a tight right-side line that requires precise boat positioning to avoid potential pin spots and powerful hydraulics near the center and left side of the rapid. Good river reading skills and quick maneuvering are essential to successfully threading through this section of the Kern River.
