Description
House Rock rapid is a technical Class III drop with a large mid-river boulder that splits the flow and creates complex hydraulics. Paddlers must carefully navigate around the namesake rock, choosing between a tight left channel with potential pin hazards or a more open right line with larger waves and potential lateral currents. Scout this rapid from river right to identify the best route and potential hazards, as the rock placement and surrounding hydraulics can change significantly with varying water levels.
