Description
Little Mallard Rapid is a technical Class IV drop with a tight entrance and powerful diagonal waves that can easily flip an unprepared boat. The rapid features a complex boulder field on river right with potential pin hazards, requiring precise boat positioning and a clean left-center line through increasingly large hydraulics. Paddlers should scout carefully and be prepared for quick, decisive maneuvering to avoid potentially dangerous rock traps and powerful recirculating holes.
